Prvrzva portrait booth is a joint project with the festival Plan B. This is a festival of social initiatives and new music, which is held for the third time in Kharkov (Ukraine). The concept of the project is to document the diversity of people who gather around the values of the festival. I photographed speakers, organizers, volunteers and guests of the festival.
The entrance to the booth was free. During three days I shot portraits of the same size on a red background. 220 people of different ages and cultures took part in the project. The geography of the participants is Ukraine, UK, Serbia, Austria, Germany, USA, Spain, Canada, Cuba. For me, it was an experiment that expanded my understanding of the human face and diversity.
I worked in unusual conditions of noise and a large number of people around. 220 people in 3 days is my new record. After this experiment, I know how people who run marathons feel.
I thank everyone who helped this project happen and everyone who believed in it.
